What a sump!
You can do all kind of stuff with that thing, to be honest, sometimes the sump is my favorite part of the tank.
I like having a refugium and make it it's own system as well. It's like having two tanks.

I like that sump, if you can call it a sump. It has a shame faced crab in it. The primary reason I have it is to grow microalgea and some filtration.
