Welcome to the salty side 😁

That’s a really cool setup for a jar tank. The anemone as a centerpiece really brings it together.

If you like anemones and crabs, might I suggest a porcelain crab. I have one that lives in my RBTAs and I love it.
Oh man that's so cool. If I ever have a big enough tank I'll definitely get one. Do they mostly stay in the anemone.

Believe me starting a tank and being on this thread you have absolutely NO idea were this ride will take you
It's a rabbit hole I've been eyeing for a long time now, I'm excited to see how deep it'll take me. The community seems really cool too

yeah, mine is an anemone porcelain crab and it has lived exclusively by/in my anemones since I added it. It likes to change it up and move to a different anemone every now and then.

That's really neat, it looks so cute tucked into it's anemone. They seem really cool. So many cool little creatures I've never heard of.

the reason people don’t like gsp and pulsing xenia is that they are invasive. I like how both look to be honest
If you go into it knowing that they are basically the dandelions and tumbleweeds of the reef, no reason why not keep them if it tickles your fancy. They are both really pretty in their own way, just know they can take over if you let them.

Welcome to the community! The best thing about saltwater tanks is you can do whatever you like with it. If you'd like to keep the 'pest' that other deem aren't beautiful, by all means, keep them. I'd love to see that type of tank!

Yeah I really want to set up a small tank with them only and just have a blanket of them across everything. I just think a relatively low flow tank with a field of them pulsing will look so cool.

Would look really cool, they are nitrate pigs too so make sure to feed them good!

Thanks :) I will definitely keep that in mind. I've seen the brand reef roids a lot, is that a decent food? I'm also planning to keep sexy shrimp in that tank since it's not big enough for much else I feel.

Yep, it is great! I use roids quite a bit. They do have a bit of phosphate in them, so if you use them, keep an eye on your po4. Other thing to do would be to dose ammonium bicarbonate, that would keep nitrogen available without excessively fouling the water. Then you could feed them once a week or whatever and not run too low N levels or spike your po4.
