Whoa this baby needed work. Countless water changes later, I have a refugium going...though I'm not sure if my chaeto is "taking". P04 is slightly elevated at .14 and N03 is low at .1. I am running GFO and beginning to feed a bit more than what I have. Bought some new corals to restock and begin some grow out pieces. All the while I'm also working on a new 60 cube. Here are some pics:

Since my last post things have gone relatively well. In an effort to get rid of the excess p04 is ran too much carbon and bottomed out my nutrients leading to Dinos. The Dinos were taken care of by no lighting for a few days, running carbon and getting nutrients back to normal.

Kh - 9.2
Cal - 460
Mag - 1485
N03 - 5 ppm
P04 - .03

Corals and fish are doing great. Here are some pictures.

This tank has been crazy. I ran into some issues with my fritz salt, inexplicable really as my ICP came back perfect. Had some serious RTN and other problems w zoa's closing.

Here are some pics during the worst of it:

This tank has been the biggest roller coaster of the hobby for me, thus far.

In January I ordered some corals as my tank appeared to be on the up and up. The corals came with a hitchhiker, hydroids. The parameters in my tank seems to help them to explode and they decimated some of my favorite collector zoas.

I gave up, for two months I did not touch my tank. It became overrun with algae and cyano.

In March, the spark finally came back around and I got to work cleaning and doing one gallon water changes. During the time of my absence something happened. Through the stability provided by my absence my tank began to stabilize. The ecosystem came together. Numerous corals perished, however, a number of them exploded in growth.

Two months later and were in May. The first time I checked my alk was weeks after my first water change in March, it was 5.3. I began slowly increasing my Alk.

Today, this tank is stable. The parameters are perfect and the pests have settled into the eco system and become a part of as opposed to a terror.

I can finally sit and enjoy this tank without a feeling of needing to fix something. Here are some photos.
