Okay so I need to add a skimmer but don’t want anything that’s HOB and realistically need it short enough so it doesn’t stick out past the top of the tank.

I bought the Tunze 9004 with hopes of putting it in the center chamber but unfortunately I don’t think it’ll work. It fits fine but my issue is when the return pump shuts off the rear chambers fill up with water above the skimmer cup and therefore it gets filled with water. I’m still kinda trying to figure it out but I don’t think I will get it to work. I know it fits in the first chambers of the tank but would prefer not to use it there because then I can’t use filter floss to filter out larger particles. Unless any one has any other ideas?

Currently I’m looking at these:
