uhhuh..

So how much par did you have it under? How much flow. Likes light and flow is pretty vague.

Please post a picture under white light. The blue lights make it really hard to tell anything about how the flesh looks. If it's just the tops of the skeleton then it might recover. But it is not looking very good currently. Looks like the center is gone?
I’ll try to post tomorrow! I just thru 350.00 in trash if dead - didn’t last a week

Do you have other Indophyllia in your tank?

I don’t but it was about the size of a soft ball in diameter. The vendor had his salinity at 1.030 but that’s all I know
My guess is possibly too much light and/or flow combined with a large swing in parameters from the vendors tank to your tank. I know it’s not always possible but I usually try and ask what vendors keep their tanks at when I purchase coral just so I can have an idea if I’m introducing coral to a large parameter swing.

There is no way that was softball sized, that looks like a standard 1” frag plug. Typically these will inflate abd be poofy but not significantly larger that the skeleton.

Do you have a vendor pic? Maybe they emailed it to you when you bought it? Or was it bought in person? Have you fed or at all? It looks rough to be honest. How long have you had it ?

I bought it at a show in Charlotte, nc last Saturday and yes it was expanded to almost a soft size in diameter. It was beautiful

1.030 salinity is a bit high but if you went down to usual 1.025-1.026 sg it shouldn't have a big impact. Going to a higher salinity from a lower is rougher.

Sorry to hear about the loss. Maybe we can help if you could post your parameters and how much light and flow it was receiving? Mine always did best in pretty low lighting 50-80par and moderate flow but nothing really hard directly on the flesh.

Did you do any kind of dipping or anything?

Well, I stand corrected!

Did it ever inflate nicely for you or has it been grumpy since arrival

These typically like low flow and low par. 150 or less

Also indophyllia is a retired and misused term. It likely is a Cynarina
Here is a care guide for Cynarina / indophyllia

Sal- 1.025
Good
High - typically 8-9. Are you running 11+ for a reason?
Slightly low but good overall. Aim for 400+ to assist with coral skeletal growth
Low. Aim for 1350+
Mix any mag powder supplement until dissolved fully. Undissolved mag crystals will burn lps coral flesh
Good
Nitrates 50
High but not crucial. Aim for 10-20

Could be not one particular thing, but instead a couple tiny things in combination

Hellfire or dragon souls

Unless you had a name I wouldn’t call it any trade name. It’s a nice yellow torch.

As for the indo/cynaria. It can bounce back. But that’s super struggling coral. Put under lower flow and light.

Can’t tell what’s bothering it from blue lights.
Did you dip it when you got home or anything you did?
You could feed it if it’s taking food at night.

I was told it’s a banana torch colony

Banana wouldn’t have purple at the base. If they are calling it banana it’s a false name they threw on it just because it’s yellow. It’s more of a hellfire / dragon soul. It’s very nice also

These are two banana torches
