This I totally get and I feel for you and many others coming into the hobby. I wish I had the magic answer but the only thing I can suggest to you and others new is to try and be selective and choose a select small group of people to take advice from. Read their posts and look at build threads etc and decide if it's someone you are comfortable trusting to advise you. It takes a bit of effort but I think it is worth it. Everyone is an expert now that we have the Internet so we have to sift through all that to get to the good stuff. I'm not big on YouTube and brs but Ryan really got my attention when he said stop following everyone and start following someone. (Apologies to Ryan if the quote isn't exact) Of course if you do find someone you have to be respectful and not challenge all of the advice they offer. ;) Asking questions is fine but you have to do so with respect and not challenge them or try to prove them wrong. Grumpy old guy ramblings over.
This is great.
Best thing I've heard in awhile.

I trusted people the first time sir. And it got me into a MAJOR mess. Something I’d never seen before in all my years in the aquarium hobby.

I want science backed advice because last time the advice didn’t help it made the situation uncontainable. I was so open to advice last time without knowing if it was scientifically backed and I followed it and it lead me into a major disaster that I couldn’t handle.

Even though dino came back and hair algae, it was nothing like it was the first time after dosing all the things I was told to and doing blackouts.

That’s why I’m cautious and angry, I really thought some people on here would have better advice than the advice given last time. And then others said it was low nutrient issues others said no they were wrong it’s high nutrient issues my tests are wrong. See why it seems like no one really knows? And why it’s hard to trust? Who’s right and who’s wrong here? Very frustrating
Your anger is evident.
Your frustration as well.
This hobby can do both to many people.
I believe you are mostly angry with yourself.
No one is angry with you.
Anger doesn't fix anger.
Only forgiveness can do that.
Hatred doesn't fix hatred.
Only love can do that.
I forgive you now forgive yourself and move on.
Peace.

WOW!

I've just read this whole thread and seriously you need to stop being so defensive. All these people trying to help you but you're so narrow minded it's obvious to everyone but you.

I have just been swapping comments with @BeanAnimal on another thread looking to see how advice can be more specific but I think I've just found the answer In your thread, nothing but aggrerssive responses to information that people have taken time to offer. Do you honestly think you deserve the response from those you're asking from with that kind of attitude?

In fairness, if you're not intersted in the answers from those on this forum why did you not seek the advice from the scientists you desire directly?

This the definition of insanity doing the exact same thing over and over again excepting different results.
Good god can’t read all of that. I had beautiful green algae growth, coraline algae growth last time so It seems to be a selective algaecide given the fact algae other than brown algae grew during the 10 dosingS LOL.

I have macro in there second dose no harm done thus far. I think you’re blowing the product way out of proportion. Germans made it and I trust my people.
