I called my local vet to get some a good while back and explained my situation. They wouldn't give me a script for it without bringing my dogs in and doing all the blood work for it. Luckily a friend had some pills left over I could use.

Try a different country. You won't get the pills but you will be able to get the chews. Works the same for me and you get bonus with praziquantel added to the chew formula.

Check with your local vets.. If you have a local forum, post looking for a Vet that will dispense.

When trying local vets, may try printing some copies of this and leave it for the vet to review.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25831592

A peer reviewed paper will get you further than referencing the forums, cause we deal with crackpot ideas from the Internet all day..

Also, if you have a pet and an existing relationship with the vet you will do better finding someone.

Oh, and try to find a practice the vet owns, Corporate owned may be more difficult as they have someone to answer to besides the state board

I use milbemax one tablet of 12.5 mg of Milbemicyn Oxime for 100 gal. Dissolve completely in cup with RO water, turn off the skimmer and remove carbon. Remove all your crustaceous and then add the solution, wait 30 minutes and make a water change 25% to 30% turn on the skimmer and add new carbon . No more red bugs!!!!

Awesome. I was looking through other posts and saw you wrote about this product. After seeing the laBel on that medicine, I ordered from same place. Now the wait until it shows up at my door. I appreciate the insight! Did you only complete one dose or did you do multiple doses?

I need some Interceptor for what I believe are red bugs spotted by a friend. My buddy who works at a LFS has some pills but says they are expired but not sure how long ago the expiration was. Does anyone know they effectiveness of expired pills or their potency? Also if they are no good is there a link to buy the others that people are getting online?
