Introducing myself

Hi everyone. I have been following the forum discussion since I got my first reef tank, a 16 gallon Nano tank, in Jan 2019. I recently bought a used 75 gallon tank and sold my Nano tank to the seller of the 75 gallon tank, since he wanted something smaller. Anyway, I just joined the group because this upgrade is a lot more complicated and I need the support to keep it running. I live in Davis, California and I am having a ball with reefing!

Anyway, in addition to the 75 gallon tank I recently bought, the seller gave me a soft coral that drapes over a rock and I was wondering if anyone could ID it for me. here is a picture of the coral and my tank.

Which coral are you referring to? Is it the white thing draped over the rock? If that is the one you are referring to, can you get a better pic of just it?

Welcome!! Nice looking tank. Is the white thing spongy when you touch it? I've had white sponges in my tank, but usually on the underside of rocks.

Welcome to R2R! I am about 30 miles west of you in Roseville. This is an awesome place to get great information and advice as well as get to know some fellow reefers. I dont know what that white thing is, looks like a sponge possibly.
