The only time CoralVue will release anything other than they have is when they are ready to ship to the dealers.ANyone hear any updates about the maven?
One single Maven can test Alkalinity, Calcium, Magnesium, Nitrate, Phosphate. You will not need to purchase a machine per test.
As well, the Maven can be ran standalone, or added to a Collective with other Hydros Controls.
With the quietness of the Maven the last month and lack of updating this thread, I’m starting to feel they are having some issues with consistency… I think I’m going to hold off buying the first round of units. Is there a release day yet? Does anyone get early access for early reviews?
I plan on holding off until we get some longish term reviews. the Maven is definitely on my want list though. With the quietness of the Maven the last month and lack of updating this thread, I’m starting to feel they are having some issues with consistency… I think I’m going to hold off buying the first round of units.
CoralVue does not give any more than what was already stated until there are enough units ready to go out to the dealers in the first batch. They have had these at the recent trade shows. They even have one setup on the CoralVue tank. I think there are photos of that on facebook. Delays can be from availibility of different parts needed to make enough of the units for the initial sale. I have seen the boxes that the devices are sold in hold up a release before. That was not CoralVue but it can happen to any manufacturer. With the quietness of the Maven the last month and lack of updating this thread, I’m starting to feel they are having some issues with consistency… I think I’m going to hold off buying the first round of units.
id be happy with just 1 month reviews. because the trident np is known to not be sensitive enough to pick up under 0.1 phosphates. if i can see some reviews of the maven in first few weeks of people showing it detecting like 0.05.......then im sold. im 100% getting it.I plan on holding off until we get some longish term reviews. the Maven is definitely on my want list though.
I want to ensure there aren't issues with the unit itself after the first few months. If I see everyis going well and no consistency issues I would be open to buying it soonerid be happy with just 1 month reviews. because the trident np is known to not be sensitive enough to pick up under 0.1 phosphates. if i can see some reviews of the maven in first few weeks of people showing it detecting like 0.05.......then im sold. im 100% getting it.
With lack of “showing off” new technology via videos or threads right before release date, this leads me to believe there are issues.CoralVue does not give any more than what was already stated until there are enough units ready to go out to the dealers in the first batch. I'm waiting too but I think I'll give it a few months after release and see what the feedback is.ANyone hear any updates about the maven?
I would really like to get one, but I always wait to see if there is any issues or problems, and after a few months of reading the reviews, and the reviews are mostly positive, then I will buy it.
Multi-parameter automatic testing has arrived. Test
- Alkalinity (dKH)
- Nitrate (NO3)
- Phosphate (PO4)
- Calcium (Ca)
- Magnesium (Mg)
Check it out!
Hydros Maven

.
never mind. off topic.
You left off the fact that the Hydros collective idea is brilliant, but it results in something that looks like it came out of a science fiction horror show—or the early 1970s/80s—Ala TSR80 and a million cables and tubes.I don't typically buy things without doing research. I deviated from that on the ReefBot Lab and got burned hard.
I am interested in the Maven, but not thrilled with their inept product marketing, haphazard and random naming of devices and functions, or what amounts to rather random device feature overlap and lack of clear product delineation or matrix. The whole thing has the feel of a marketing and development clown show, so I am skeptical with regard to the actual function of such a complex product. I certainly hope to be wrong, as I despise water testing and am very hopeful that time will show these to be worth the price.
