Please post a pic of the stand and the empty tank on it, but if I'm following you correctly an easy fix here would be to cut a piece of 3/4" plywood to the dimensions of the footprint of the tank, and place that on top of the stand. This way, the stand is supporting the piece of plywood, which is fully supporting the tank.Got home. There is one major problem. I miscalculated the size and there are two options
1)tank will overhang a little bit but see from all 3 sides and be aesthetically pleasing (a few cm on front and back)
2) tank will sit flush but the backend sump area will be facing the side. I would only see one side and front
Stand needs a very good cleaning as well. I’m debating just putting it sideways on the stand. I wanted all the wires all pretty in the stand which I can still do besides the light which I am still thinking of getting something else. This is pretty budget which I’m still saying I’m under $500 before any pets and getting another stand is not really an option as I do like this one a lot.
Thoughts are welcome. Will post pictures later after lunch.

so the build is put off while I list this stand for sale. It’s so nice and I’m really bummed but in the end I’m so worried and it’s not worth stressing. I decided to get a different cabinet and it should be here Monday or Tuesday so I’ll try again.
asking about new shipments and such and going back Saturday. We are also going to the zoo/aquarium on Saturday since I’ve never been in our local city so that’s exciting.
