Hello and happy weekend. This is just a warning and FYI for those manually dosing Iodide - I use the cap measuring method, and made the mistake of pouring into the cap over my tank in the dark. A recent ICP test showed an extreme lack of Iodine, which is why I started dosing. The cap overflowed quite a bit, and my corals are expressing their unhappiness with lack of polyp extension. This Green Slimer is usually a fluffy looking thing, so you can tell how ticked off it is. Hopefully a water change will straighten it out.

I have a nano tank and would just randomly drop a drop or 2 of iodine here and there because I have zoas and they supposedly like iodine. My iodine eventually shot up and it definitely did some damage to corals

I’m certain you’re right, the zoas in fact are not bothered at all by the iodide overdose…
