Iron?

Okay so just for the sake of curiosity.
So typically most green plants of any kind grow way better when they're exposed to iron. So in theory if I was able to in some way dose my refugium, where I'm growing a ton of green macro, with some iron would it help to make my macro grow way quicker?

In short.....Yes? But then again the idea behind the macro is nutrient up take from the water column.
