Is bubble tip ok?

These work with closed lid tanks?
Do you have a pic of the top? So I can see exactly what you're talking about? This is what they look like on top of my tank.

If the light comes off, you should be fine. If not you may have to redo your top to fit a different light.
Light pops off. There is a plastic cover underneath it

How do I know it’s not too late
When it starts to fall of and drastically change color is when its too late. If you can go to a LFS and buy a frozen food, it could help with keeping it alive. I feed mine silversides about once every other week just for additional nutrition and energy.

I’ve fed it some brine and mysis with a dropper

How long do you leave the lights on?

Hopefully it lasts until I get the light

ImMy BTA has not been directly feed in the 9 months I’ve had it, or the 6+ months the store had it before me. I don’t recommend feeding them.

Depends on what you're looking to spend. I have a budget friendly set of lights that do the job. Ordered them on Amazon. Current USA Orbit Marine Aquarium... Amazon product ASIN B00GFTQDQKYou can always go more expensive with the Kessil lights or other top brands.
Got this one coming Wednesday. Wish me luck. I’d imagine the bubble can make a recovery
