Hey guys, long time no talk!
The tank has pretty much been on autopilot lately, and I haven't had a whole lot to update everyone on. However, after going to a frag swap yesterday and spending an absolutely absurd amount of money on coral, I figured it was time for an update!
I ended up coming home with multiple sticks, gonis, torches, hammers, and a pretty cool chalice! I also picked up a flame hawkfish and some basic necessities like coral glue.
As far as the tank goes, it's really been on autopilot for the last few months, but lately it's been sucking up alkalinity like a madman. Last night, I tested at 7.4 dKH, dosed some additional alkalinity, and tested again this morning only to find it had dropped to 7.3 dKH.
I'm a little concerned about how much alkalinity the tank seems to be consuming, so I bumped my All-For-Reef (AFR) dosing from 31 mL per day to 35 mL per day to see if that makes any difference. I'm going to keep an eye on it and see how things respond.
Other than that, the tank has been doing pretty well, and there's been some noticeable growth over the last few months that I haven't been very active on here.
Here are some pictures of the new additions, along with some of the growth and changes in the tank since my last update!
Needless to say, I went a little overboard at the frag swap, but that's just part of the hobby, right?
