image.jpg Hello I recently got a gold neo tang and he was fine at the local fish store went transferred him into a 4 foot tank. He stopped swimming and stopped eating. Hasn’t eaten in three days moved him over to a quarantine tank or he’s just laying down not swimming or eating.i ruled out ich since there are no white spots those are just little particles on him cause he is in a qt tank just put him in last night and made it through the night

Likely not. Unfortunately, this been for the last 19 months and ongoing collection and health issue with young blonde Naso tangs

I was driving but now home. To touch up on this, there has been an influx of these fish are coming fromn Sri Lanka and it is suspected that a method of capture is contributing to this trend in which the fish appears healthy the first few days and then weakens quickly with loss of appetite and strength and as you found laying on its side, thin body and breathing heavy until death. It may be due to cyanide capture but unconfirmed.
Sorry to hear of this and being the bearer of bad news. Often in this state of health , recovery is very low as they are moribund and adding air stone may or may not help, but there is no additive that can be recommended for this

Not flukes and can and may stress fish out. You can , but ive seen this too often and know what it is

On the way to the lfs gonna throw a fight there lol

I agree with vetteguy, blonde nasos are on my "do not acquire" list due to the high mortality rate from unknown reasons. In the video, the naso isn't breathing fast and doesn't have skin lesions, so I would rule out flukes, velvet or ich.
