I'm not an expert, but it looks pretty normal to me. I have seen them look "fluffier", but yours looks like a lot of the pictures of seen online when shopping for corals.

wait till it takes a nap and closes up completely.
normal for leathers.

Looks normal. Leathers will also close up if something touches.
