Originally bought for a cichlid tank but changed mind halfway through set up
With that I don't have the accessibility to run a sump system as a bought a stand with shelves not an open area.
To get on with it,
Running for 5 days now
standard 55 gallon tank
Live rock around 40lbs
Sand for substrait
Filtration:
fluval 307 canister with bio balls and phosphate media
a top fin canister also rated for a 60 gal
a pre filter on my power head
Lighting:
Aquasky led 4ft
Aquatop slr36
Heat is good it holds 79 constant
I used instant ocean reef crystals for set up and have been doing water changes with instant ocean Original
I have acquired 6 frags for free and I'm hoping they make it through the cycle of start up
I did use quick start
Now my issue is my ammonia is up and down saw as high as 3.8 and after a 25% water change a 2nd dose of quick start and 24 hrs it's at about .5
Nitrate and nitrites are 0
Salinity 1.025
Ph is steady at 8.0
So with the attached pictures of coral can anyone tell me names and if they will recover from the ammonia poisoning
