Is something eating my coral

This are my large Goni coral with the light on 2 days ago.
Below is also a pic of the Goni with the lights off.
Is this normal or is something picking at the coral?

Do you have any fish or livestock that may be picking at it? Corals often look much different at night vs day. We need to eliminate a potential pest or a fish picking at them. Best of luck :)

Only have 2 yellow tangs and some blue leg hermits and snails
 
Could be a sting from a neighboring coral. The Goni looks healthy besides those spots of dead/missing flesh. It could be a hermit gone rogue picking at polyps.
