Is there anything 100% universally agreed upon?

Paying taxes sucks.
Children should get cancer.
All Politicians from either side are a joke.
Our health care system might be a bigger joke.
We love this hobby.
Wow… should that have been “children should not get cancer”?

Is there anything that 100% of reef keepers can agree on?

Maybe it’s a parameter, equipment, ideology, dosing solution, preference etc…

If even one person disagrees, then it won’t count.

Is it impossible to think of one?

If you seal your fish room for 3 billion years, this is what happens to it;

3. You open the room door from the outside and walk in. The air smells OK, but after walking in your eyes begin to burn. When you whine about it, the Doc can't answer because, apparently, whatever was bothering you is worse for him. After airing out the room, you take a look around. The floor is covered in water with some apparent white solid deposits in it. The glass lays in a pile of sheets where the aquarium was, a couple of them are broken, but still flat shards. The salt bucket and bags are gone with no apparent sign of them. The place where the fan was has a small pile of brown solids sticking out of the water.

But to actually contribute, I do love the fact that everyone comes at reefing with different styles and techniques and ideas. Its interesting and allows you to pick and choose and come up with what works for you and this forums a awesome place which most of the time steers people in a good direction. Its ever evolving which makes it hard to agree on things. 6 months ago I would have never put ammonia in my tank but now I'm dosing it daily, go figure.
I guess the really old school Reefers used to dose their own pee in their tanks, especially with clams. At least according to Dick Perrin’s son, Ray.

I was explaining to my kid that Windex was ammonia which is pretty much same as pee and that romans used it to clean clothes and there teeth... she wasn't impressed lol

It is most probable that is not possible but may be under extreme circumstances Jim!

Nobody has the faintest idea why one system will thrive, and another dive.
