Is this a good stock list for a 55 gallon? Open to advice. Help me get it right the first time .

probablly how I wound up with velvet. I had 10 fish including tomato clowns and a leopard wrasse and a yellow tang I was told it was “overly ambitious “. What ticks me off most is that between 2 different local fish stores. I would go in tell them what was in my tank already, and ask about a certain fish or for suggestions.and they were always just like “yeah you can add that it’s reef safe”

If you're in a hurry, this is the wrong hobby, go slow and be cautious. The fish stores are there to sell fish. I find it shocking how uninformed most are. You'll get much better advice here

I would quarantine all fish before adding to your main tank. I tried not doing it and failed until I started quarantining

Yeah also prob. Why I failed. Guy at 1 lfs was like here buy this stuff called hydro plex and you won’t need to QT. Frikken snake oil!

I would say 2 at a time is fine depending on the size of the specimens. Try to get small young specimens. I probably would not not put a 5" midas with a 4 " black cap in a 10G for very long, for example.

I treat prophylactically in QT, copper, medicated food for internal parasites, and for external parasites as well

My six line was a total bully. I have a 65 with the following and they all get along. Some are going to cringe at my list:
1 fox face
1 yellow eyed kole tang
1 clown
1 engineer goby
2 pajama cardinals
4 sergeant majors
Bunch of snails
