I have this bubble tip and it appears to have been completely bleached. I should mention he is what I would call a rescue do to bad choice lighting. So he is in my tank first off what I've noticed his mouth is closed he has little hints of red and green In hinge has held tight the last week but I can't get him to eat. My nitrates and phosphate are pretty low I haven't tested as of lately but I have been Accustom to the refugium keeping those in check . Does it look like he will pull thru. ALso he's under 4 t-5 bulbs through the day light should be enough

If water conditions are kept stable and the right lighting, which yours doesn't seem bad, it can. Bleaching means all the zooxanthallae is gone. It can come back though.

I would make sure you have plenty of food for it in the water column. Dose phytoplankton daily to help it feed. Does not look too bad right now, but these guys will go either way. I have a baby right now I am working on getting colored back up too. Good luck!

They don't eat phyto.
Without their zooxanthellae their only means of obtaining nutrition is through feeding. Try feeding small pieces of fish or shrimp often.

Yeah I've tried feeding him LRS and haven't noticed him trying to do much with the food. He reacts to it but he's not real sticky eather I've dropped it in right on his mouth mouth swells like he wasn't to then I think he falls asleep because he just stops. I was reading that it might be stressing him out more feeding him is that possible

Small size food and I mean small.
It will take quite a bit of time to recover it's color.

That BTA does not have the energy or strength to capture live prey. They do not feed on tiny plankton sized foods when they are this bad off, as the OP has noted. Pieces of marine meat, maybe the size of a pencil eraser. No exoskeleton, scales, bones........ Nothing but soft, easily digestible meat, like shrimp or fish.

I was reading that it might be stressing him out more feeding him is that possible

This anemone can obtain no nutrition from zooxanthellae. If it does not feed, it will starve.

So looks like my BTA is starting to have a tiny hue of green on the lower parts of his tenticles. I'm hoping that's a sign of things to come, I have yet to get him to eat any food. I have been basting him with the LRS dust I guess you could say. I've noticed he is slightly retracted during the day. When the main lights go off he really opens up. I figure this is because he is still adjusting to actually having a life sustaining light over his head. But I'm still hopping I can save this guy.
