Is this normal for a skimmer about a week old? Micro bubbles are crazy.

While I'm not familiar with your specific skimmer, microbubbles can be quite common with a new skimmer until all of the pieces develop that film coating that helps reduce them. In the meantime double check all of your connections to the pump/air tubing to make sure there are no leaks. Looks like your tank is new. Best of luck with it!
