does it move around or just hang out in the one spot? so much fun watching our tanks and finding stuff we didn't add...unless it's bad for our tank, then it's terrifying and seems to disappear sometimes.

It moved last night and kinda has points like a starfish but missing a leg.

micro brittle stars. They are good and people even pay for them and I love them. Great part of a clean up crew

It's an Asterina star. Most are harmless algae eaters but prone to population explosions. A rare few are coral eaters, and there is little distinguishing markings to ID which Asterina type one has. I typically take a wait and watch stance.

Tahoe...I'm talking about the object in the middle right which is a micro brittle. I think we need the OP to point out what he's referring to lol

At first glance it looks like a sponge to me. But after i zoom in realy close it looks like Asterina starfish.

Yeah the only thing in focus I could ID was the Asterina, the others were either micro/macro brittle stars or tube worms/feather dusters.

Im no expert, but those snails kind of resemble sun dial snails? If that is what they are I think they might be predatory to zoas? Might want to get another opinion though. Ive only seen them a couple times....

Sorry it is hard to zoom any further and there are a few things in the pictures I am aware of collonistas , tube worm and feather dusters, but the asterina is was unaware of thank you so much. For the identification

Tahoe do you think it really could be vermetid snail. I pulled it out of the water it looks like a slug with two antennas
