Ecoflow Delta Max 2000

__

I got a 14-gage (AWG) 25' cord to run from the Ecoflow Delta max to the main power strip for the entire aquarium system. I got 14 gauge since I’m running off a 15amp circuit.

The Ecoflow is set to a basic “UPS” but has a 30-millisecond switchover not as good as a true UPS which should be a 15 or 20-ms switchover. This is slightly disappointing but it should be fine for the APEX (I hope).

I like that the Ecoflow app gives me real-time power draw from the grid.

so the above is showing ac reading even the heaters are on… this is the largest draw I should see.

So far the system is nice.

Ecotech Radion Blue XR30

Strange issue where my two XR30s seem to turn on in staggered a pattern. I don’t know if I set something inadvertently within Mobius. Does anyone have a similar experience?

Both lights are running the 1.1.0 files system and the 5.3.1 Product OS.

In the morning, you can see the backlight is brighter:

In the evening the light is still staggered:

I wonder if it’s the “WAXING”...? Here’s a screenshot of Mobius:

A lot of people have the same issue and more. Reason why Mobius is not the best enjoyed app. Have you tried re-syncing them together?

I do not like the app at all. I've been waiting for the unicorn'd Apex MXM module. In any case, I've done the resetting as well. I'll have to try again. I've saved the backup config this time so resetting should be easier.

The last bastion for cyano was in the Refugium. Checking tonight and it seems the cyano has even receded from this area too. The ecosystem is maturing nicely.

I’ve tried EVERY possible glue, but two: The BRS Super Glue Gel Extra Thick and the Ecotech CG glue.

I found THE one for me. This glue is AMAZING!!!!

1682879356754.png

No run off slime – this always freaks me when I see it as soon as I hit the water. But this one has none. I literally can mold it into the rock. It holds in a few seconds after holding it in place and remains pliable to mold around the frag with your fingers. I don’t understand how it’s so different.

I picked up a 24K Malaysian Gold Torch to go with my Dragon Soul. And got a break of a Red cap. Local reefer near me has a beautiful tank.

After dipping in Bayer and a Seachem Reef Dip Iodine bath:

Torch going here:

Red cap going back here…actually already glued in this pic. I want that cascade of layers coming from the back wall:

Closeup of Torch coral after gluing in place:

And after 45 minutes and lights coming on the torch is opening up:

Purchased a Copperband Butterfly!

Got lucky this morning and was able to snag a fully quarantined Humblefish verified Copperband today from www.fishotel.com.

Jeff Dierkhising is my most trusted QT vendor. And his prices are unbelievable. The copperband was $209 with shipping the cost was $253.00. The animal is fully treated but also conditioned for feeding on LRS, enriched brine and mysis. Literally what I feed my fish now.

Picked up a back up Vectra L2 return pump for emergencies. Tax refund purchase. I think it just makes sense for me to have an exact replacement to plug and play.

More backup power required to run the 350 watts average but peak at 700watts of power draw. The Ecoflow Delta Max needed the expansion battery to run the system for a decent chunk of time.

So if I have a power outage at my location, typically about 4-5 hours. The expansion battery plus the Delta Max gives me 4032 watt-hours. So...

4032 watt-hours / 350 watts = approximately 11.5 hours

So now it rests here for now...

IMG_5651.JPG

And this does not include the extra 100ah LiPo4 battery I have the vortechs and vectra hooked up to which would turn on once the Ecoflow is used up. So I should be covered unless there's a MASSIVE catastrophe in SoCal. :grimacing-face:

What I learned from turning the power off of the reef to update the Ecoflow firmware and adding the expansion battery -- > I need a check valve.

And I have a feeling I’ve got a 1” flapper check valve with barbs…time to dig into the garage.

Yup.

IMG_5662.jpeg

through all the aquarium junk. And find the one that’s missing ONE O-ring.

IMG_5665.jpeg

and gross…

IMG_5664.jpeg

Now I’m wondering if I’m remembering the correct return pipe size on my Cade :confounded-face:

Was it 1”?

And I find this…but this is too small. I never liked this check valve. It always got clogged for me.

IMG_5666.jpeg

I need to stop. I’m going down the rabbit hole of finding randomly forgotten but not cheap reef equipment.

I think the Cade return line is 1.25" ID. I'm basing this on the Hose barb/mesh screen ecotech kit I have. The 1.5" bar is still in the bag.

Unfortunately my current options I have on hand will not fit.

So, I'm looking at Bulkreefsupply to buy:
  1. 1 1/4” Spears True Union Swing Check Valve - Slip X Slip
  2. (2x)1 1/4" Pipe Adapter Spigot x Bar
  3. 2' of Black Vinyl Tubing 1 1/4" ID
1683305343636.png

yeesh...that check valve is pricey. oh well.

I believe I should put a valve between the check valve and the return line in order to service the check valve. So from Amazon I'm picking up:

  1. PVC Union Ball Valve, 1-1/4" Inch (DN32) True Union Full Flow Ball Valve, ASTM EPDM O-ring, Slip Socket Ball Valve with Full Port for Water System

    1683305151296.png

I think this will work. I'm wondering about the height and the current line that's already attached to the output pipe...I think this needs to be done.
