So it's about time I introduce myself and quite lurking in the shadows. I started reading R2R in December after setting up a 20 gallon for my daughter. I have been out of the hobby for about 18 years and before that it was freshwater only. in fact I only had one fish. a large mouth bass that I raised from a fingerling in a 75 gallon tank and after he died I just couldn't continue.

Fast forward 18 years, my daughter had been bothering me for quite some time for a saltwater tank and I just kept putting her off. telling her that it is to difficult and to much work. well Christmas rolled around and lack of any better ideas I built her a tank. I just couldn't believe all the information that is available now a days, mind blowing. I found myself watching videos all night long and reading everything I could while I was working.

so long story short, about after a month of building her tank, watching, and reading everything I could I was hooked! So by the time I could finish filing tax I had the money spent. I was going to do a build thread but decided against it, so let me just tell you all what I ended up with and see if I'm smart enough to post a few pictures.

WELCOME to R2R!!!
Nice setup. Hope that your daughter appreciates the tank at least as much as I do. Appreciate the posted photos.
Looking forward to more!
