Alright ladies and gentlmen, I am going to try something new.

I was helping a friend move another friends tank, and I saw this little beauty sitting in the garage. I thought it looked cool. After walking by it about a 100 times, I asked him what he wanted for it.

He said, “Tell me what you would give me for it?”

I didn’t want to embarrass myself (I’m cheap), so I replied “Your call, its your tank”.

He said “$10”? I said “SOLD”!

We finished up the move of the 300 gallon tank, and I went home. I walked in the door and there was the boss in the laundry room (right where I was headed to clean the tank up). I got the evil stink eye o_O. She says, “What are you doing with that thing”? My response - “I LOVE you honey”!

So, after some cleaning, I pulled the rock on the right from my sump and bought some new rock. Here’s the end result of the initial setup.


I ordered some things (it’s a secret) for the new tank. I should get them in the next couple of weeks. Say tuned...

So sorry for not responding - we took an impromptu spring break trip for a couple of days.

No cycle at all.

I do run a QT, it is not always set up.

I will most likely be putting these fish right into this tank. Nothing from this tank will ever be put into the living room DT, so why not. I can only have a couple of nano fish anyway.

Time for an update . I can’t believe it has been 5 months. Here’s some pics - I haven’t done anything special, but I added a few inhabitants: yellow watchman & his buddy, emerald crab, two bumble bee snails, a neon goby, and a sexy shrimp/rock nem combo. Enjoy and thanks for looking.

oh yes I know that look quite well. I got it the other day when I did not want to get ride of the 2 gallon kambucha jar. why do you want it asked the GF? well just in case I want to set up a pico said me...what's a pico oh its a small SW tank...then I got the look...lol

I added a new fish - clown goby and another rock anemone. Tank is still great. I water change every 2 weeks and feed the fish everyday. That’s it. Low maintenance.

I love countertop tanks a lot. I might pick up a 14 BioCube. I haven't had one in ~11 years give or take a couple and now you have me wanting one.

This was the light that came with it. I am pretty impressed with that little little. It’s either white/blues or blues selection, but all in all pretty awesome little tank.
