I also happen to like cubes… oh boy.A 40 breeder is definitely the best sized smaller tank imo. It is 3 feet long so decent swimming room and 18" wide so plenty of depth for scaping. I miss my old 40 breeder!
Sunlit tanks sometimes work, but they usually don’t. The sun isn’t as consistent as a tank lights.when i can convince my mom, i am going to tear down my 40 gallon and then make it sunlit
I personally love my AIO it makes life a lot easier for me In my honest opinionI also happen to like cubes… oh boy.
What’s a good size for a cube? (I realize they are usually super expensive when they are drilled and such, but I’ve seen some deals around that are pretty good)
Also being picky, but I would love a rimless tank - they just look so nice…
(here again, I’m getting ahead of myself… )
box cutter, silicone, euro brace or forget all that and make a fancy floor to ceiling stand in matte black that matches your rimsI also happen to like cubes… oh boy.

Is an AIO just a tank that comes fully plumed and with lights and such?I personally love my AIO it makes life a lot easier for me In my honest opinion
no its just a tank with a acrylic sump built in. it can be but it usually isnt.Is an AIO just a tank that comes fully plumed and with lights and such?
It's a build in sump and stuff. It wont come with lights or skimmer, unless the package says so.Is an AIO just a tank that comes fully plumed and with lights and such?
That sounds like the way to go honestly, just so I don’t have to plumb anything. It's a build in sump and stuff. It wont come with lights or skimmer, unless the package says so.
Edit: It should have the return pumps though.
Brs does have some tanks that have everything , same with waterbox but I went with JBJ because I got the stand and tank for - few hundred since it was on saleIs an AIO just a tank that comes fully plumed and with lights and such?
Only a few hundred for an AIO? That’s a steal.Brs does have some tanks that have everything , same with waterbox but I went with JBJ because I got the stand and tank for - few hundred since it was on sale
I check local Craigslist daily for new deals, lol. Also, I see these AIO's for sale on craigs time and time again. You know how it goes with used though.
Yes the tank and stand were 375 back in January! But it’s 20 gallons I believe you would need a bigger AIOOnly a few hundred for an AIO? That’s a steal.

I also kinda want my new tank to be “high tech” in a sense. As in good glass (rimless), new plumbing equipment (so I know it works for sure and isn’t 20 years old) LED lights, etc etc.
I know new is expensive, but I’ll see if I can find a good deal for a gently use AIO on Craigslist.
I would use one or the other, you don’t want your phosphates to bottom out. I would monitor them daily after adding either of these products to make sure you don’t hit zero. I don’t know what’s in this product, but chemipure elite has GFO in it, which can strip out phosphates really quickly (especially in smaller tanks), so just monitor it.Look what just came in from @ChaosAquaculture !!
Should I use this along with the chemi-pure elite?
The stickers will also join my growing sticker collection.
(I need to find a water bottle or something to stick all of these to ;Hilarious)
Can the chemipure ever be used again once I remove it from the tank?I would use one or the other, you don’t want your phosphates to bottom out. It’s not like Purigen where it can be regenerated, but if you only used it for a few days, I imagine you could rinse it out with some rodi, set it out to fully dry (don’t want mold/mildew to grow on it), and then reuse it (rinse it again before putting it back in). It should be replaced every month or so (since it’s activated carbon supplemented with GFO), so it shouldn’t be fully exhausted after only a few days use.Can the chemipure ever be used again once I remove it from the tank?
I think I’ll switch it out with the fuzz out.
