Got the stand finished. Framing tech did a great job, everything is machine cut and the precision was dead on. They use these quick connectors that made it fairly easy. End caps for the exposed cuts and leveling feet at all the vertical points. I built it on its top and had to roll it over, I did it by myself. It's light weight but very sturdy.

So the tank has an aluminum frame on the bottom do you all think I would need something under it? Plywood? Foam?

My understanding is with a frame you generally don't need anything , but if it was rimless or acrylic then yes.

Waiting in some hardware to finish mounting the Orphek bars. Have everything for the radions, once I get everything mounted I'll have to do some cable management on the top side. I'm also going to get some white acrylic to go on the top so the power bricks can sit on and hide some of that.

Made some changes to the light rack. Originally I had the or3 bars mounted where they both shared the center brace.

I think it looks better if they butt up to reach other so I made some connecting plates out of some aluminum bar stock I had. This allowed me to connect the bars end to end and have them share the single mount on the center brace. PXL_20210509_014156518.jpg PXL_20210509_041220551.MP.jpg PXL_20210509_041202240.MP.jpg

Made some more progress today.

It will be on the stand tomorrow.

Should be a straight shot into my office through the garage door.

Had to remove the door trim and frame to accommodate the 30" dimension of the tank.

It's going to be tight.

Going to slide it right into these dollies, and butt I push it through the door place two more under it and roll it the rest of the way.

Here it comes.

That’s basically the exact setup I’m looking at. Same size tank as well.

how tall is the stand? 36?

lighting that width is a chore. I’ve got 3 g5 on my 72” x 24” and could use another. 8-10 may be needed for the 84” x 48”.

looking forward to seeing your lighting rig.

I had the stand made at 39". I hate not having enough room under it.

I've got 6 G5 so far. I'm going to try it with that and see how it runs, I've got 2 g5 xr15 already also. I think ultimately it may be 6 xr30 with 4 xr15 in-between but I'm going with the 6 to begin and see how it goes.
