Jawbreakers not looking so good

My jawbreakers when I got them would open to the size of quarters (they're babies), now they open yes, but not as much, pretty much half. One of them has a red spot that appeared out of nowhere, and it seems to have changed positions. I thought it was just developing red, but the spot isn't flourescent. Anyone have any idea? Should I dip in case the spot is a pest?

They're looking a bit better, but the spot definitely moved, so I'm gonna dip it.
