It does seem that you are having a one-off problem as a lot of people run them without this issue. Fortunately, they are inexpensive and a replacement won't set you back much if that's what you want to do.
I just filled out a return request since it's not quite 30 days old. I'm hoping a new one will link up. Now I just have to wait until these DMP40's are back in stock on Amazon.

BTW - you don't have a build thread. Ever thought of starting one?
I started a new build thread on a local reef forum here in SoCal but I'm also not great at updating it. I don't know who would be interested in another random 180g tank build thread. I'm really not that guy.

I've been successful at linking a Master and Slave pump. My entire frustration was that the Slave pump wouln't change flow speeds with the Master speed in each mode. This is imperative in my opinion.

Well...

I reached out to Jebao and asked about the matching speed issue. This is what they said:
"The master-slave can sync the modes and frequency, but not power/watt. You need to set the watt% individually on each pump."

I'm not sure I would have bought a pair of their pumps if I knew this. I can't believe they can't the Slave pump won't match the set speeds of the Master in each mode. This sucks.

Thanks for asking. I have a build thread on another local forum BUT I'm to lazy to start one here. I'm not a big socila media guy so if I started one I'm not good at updates. AND... there's so many build threads and mine would be just another one. Sorry...I'm lame.

Here's a FTS at 4.5 months in.

Did I mention that I learned that these Jebao Jecod DMP pumps can't be linked Master/Slave and have the Slave match speeds when you program different modes throughout the day? This was what was driving me crazy BUT come to find out I'm not crazy! Jebao confirmed. Can you say LAME?!

Your tank in looking great at 4.5 months in!
I hear you on not wanting to get a build thread going as there is a lot of reefers and reefing activity in the SoCal area. Right, @JoJosReef ?

Can you manually alternate the pumps? I could with that that. Say ever 5 or 10 minutes. I assume i could do it with apex. Who sell the latest version, besides alliepress, hate dealing with them. Thanks
