Keep it low! I only have mine about 10" off the bottom and off to the side. Any higher and it'll bleach.
I moved mine to the bottom 1/4 of my 18" deep tank , @ 350 PAR, and it has colored up and growing much better.

I have mine in about 450 PAR and it grows like crazy. 14k Phoenix bulb.

This is a nice coral. By far, the best "new" coral in the last decade and destined to be an old-school classic. It needs no tricks and lots of people can have good success with it.

Question for those still watching this thread.
I have a frag that is growing very well(encrusting like crazy) but the red coloration is more pale to pink. Tips are still yellow and new encrusting growth has awesome yellow color too. Its sitting up high with high flow just under ap700 which sits 13 inches off water. My question is if coloration pops back once the whole piece begins to grow or is it mostly light intensity. I bought it off someone with t5 and the colony was at the top of the tank. I had similar experience with my Tyree pinky the bear. It encrusted and was pale pink and now it’s coloring up nicely.

Mine laid a large base before it started shooting up more verticals. I have it in the upper third of the tank.

Anyone have the maricultured lookalike of this acro? I have one and the only difference is more green in the base and the branches are actually pink instead of a deeper pinkish red.

Don't know if this is the same acro. It was sold to me as a "reverse" acro from aquasd. But it looks awful similar. The base looks light purple in color, but the tip is really bright green.

Watchguy that's the nastiest colony shot I have seen! Well done!

I just found out someone named the lookalike of this acro and is selling frags for 150. I actually like it about the same because it has green in the base and pink in the branches with yellow tips. Not as bold as the ff acro though.

I believe your look a like is the same thing CB sells as the Golden JD. I got frags of both at the same time and they always grew very similar, almost indetical in structure. The colors are the only thing that appear different now.

How long did everyone that started with a nub have to wait before the coral began to grow? I’ve got a nub that browned out, lost it’s yellow tip, then stn at the base. Stn stopped out of nowhere and it’s just sitting there looking ugly. Been about 1.5months since I got it.
