The filter floss worked. Finally! After a few days they appeared to be completely gone, They had been growing on the glass too and one last glass scape ended it.

Thats one nice favia! While i may not be an Evo user anymore your evo is amazing. (Jk i still am)My Favia and zoas have been happily growing and coexisting on their rock with the Favia growing around the zoas. But last night the Favia apparently decided that it wanted the whole rock to itself and started taking out the 10 zoa polyps.
Just a Sicce 0.5 pump. Everyone else seems to use more, but it works fine for me.What are you running for flow? Upgraded return pump? Powerhead/wavemaker? The tank is amazing!
I am glad to hear this! I am actually having reasonable success right now in my evo with a 210GPH pump upgrade and a 1/2 inch RFG. I might try and upgrade the pump a little further but thinking I will hold off for now with another powerhead.Just a Sicce 0.5 pump. Everyone else seems to use more, but it works fine for me.
Sorry for my slow reply. I was not on the site this weekend. Yes I am still using it and it has worked well. I also still have that blue led strip I added and it seems to be in good condition.Still running the same amazon strip light from page 2? Any changes or issues?
I’ve only had my Fluval evo 13.5 for about a month and am in no rush, but would like to keep the lid light if possible for a mixed reef with a couple easier SPS like branching monti.
The link on page 2 for the blue strip is empty now.
does this look like this?
What lived? So sorry for your lossSad, but here it is today. The a/c broke in the house and the tank went to over 90 deg. Killed a lot of things - even the pulsing xenia. I am going to try to get things looking good again.
Now Gone:
The Yellow Brick Road zoas and Utter Chaos have been closed and slowly shrinking, but I think a few will survive. The Sinularia is really sick but alive. The toadstool was put into another tank and the two (out of 19) remaining mushrooms are now shrunken, but might survive if I'm lucky. Even the GSP looks 99% dead and the Xenia is gone. The RFA did fine and never seemed to care. The Florida Frag Swap is in February, so hopefully I will pick up a few things there and from people in local Facebook clubs. What lived? So sorry for your loss
That sucks! If you’re ever in that position again, float frozen water bottles in your tank. Place Fans blowing across the water surface too.Sad, but here it is today.
