The light on the tank is not very good, so I decided to upgrade to the Fluval Marine 3.0 led. I mainly got this one because it fits into the same slot as the stock light. It's Bluetooth controlled with custom schedules, etc. like so many other new lights. It's a lot better, but still not fabulous. I just really want to keep the top on!

I have had no issues with the light on these tanks at all, this is my three year old Fluval evo 13.5. Everything on it is stock. I have the protein skimmer as well. Run it 12 hours a day, I Have grown a wide range of corals under these lights. Mushrooms, zoas, acans, blastos, trumpets, duncans, leathers, birdsnest, torches, hammers and goniopora. I have never kept any SPS however except a small birdsnest frag I held for a friend only for a week, so i cannot speak to its capabilities in terms of SPS.

This morning one of my Ricordea had it guts torn out and a huge hole in the middle. The only things I have in there that move are a few snails and a few bristle worms. I started looking up whether or not the "harmless" bristle worms will eat mushrooms and some people said they did. I had stopped feeding a few days ago and look what happened less than 10 seconds of my feeding one of the mushrooms.
Apparently they are pure evil. They are also too fast for me to grab with tongs. Trap time.

I made a DIY trap out of a water bottle and a straw. I put it in with the straw next to their evil dark lair and before I even got the lid back on the tank they were headed for the trap. I caught the two main suspects.

Good catch. I know I got some in my tank. I set up a similar trap for almost week but no luck. So hopefully, they vanished lol.

I just noticed these tiny polyps popping up where there has not been a frag plug for 3 months. I thought the zoas had not grown off of the plug, but I guess a bit of tissue got on there and is starting to grow. If that's the case, they are Beauty and the Beasts. They are about 2 mm.

Sorry for the poor picture.

My Blue Eyed Blonds have started morphing. This frag started with two individual polyps and each group is now different.

It's amazing to me how they have changed in just a couple of weeks. Originally they had a gold ring in the middle with a blue center (left picture).
Now one group has a pale greenish ring with a green center and the other is all orange and white speckled.
