Hello, I've been out of the hobby for roughly 8yrs. I've spent the last 2 yrs caring for my beautiful wife of 21 yrs.. She recently lost her battle with cancer and became another angel in heaven.
I was sitting here the other night wondering what was I going to do now. Debbie and I always talked about getting back into saltwater. Since our last salty adventure, we've continued to have freshwater tanks. Got into breeding Longfin Super Red Plecos for awhile. We had a 100g community tank, 3-40g breeders and 2-20g.
Around 5 months ago, her health took a turn for the worse. During that time, I took down all the tanks but the 100g. Now, I'm looking to start up a 40g breeder with a 40g breeder sump saltwater tank. Been doing a little refresher studying. Didn't realize I missed my reef tank and the saltwater aquarium experience so much.
Looking forward to my new tank and seeing what all has changed in the hobby. Glad to see R2R is dtill around.
