Just a rant...I am soooooo fed with marine ich!!!! Like why!!! I was managing well until I added a CB yellow tang. Then s*** hit the fan and now every single fish has it. My 4 fairy wrasses, and my clownfish pair. Ughhhh.
Of course being in Canada no way I can get copper so TTM would be the only possible way, I sure as heck don't have the room for that and all those failed TTM stories are not encouraging.
Really considering not replacing the fish when they're gone. Just coral and inverts!!!! I'm done

Sorry to hear.

TTM isn’t a good option because you need another tank to hold the fish in while you leave your main tank fishless for 60 days to let the ich parasite die out.

Hyposalinity is more effective. It also requires a second tank, but that’s more stable, and with only two fish moves, in and out.

Fyi - not to totally criticize you - but in future posts the masked vulgarity may get you into to trouble.

So - you have a tank with multiple fish - with ich - a picture would help to confirm that. Additionally, if you have coral, etc - one solution is putting them into another tank/bucket .etc and treating with hyposalinity. I wasn't aware that you couldn't buy copper safe over the internet in Canada. Thanks for that information. Agree TTM is going to be a mess for you. If you can remove the coral rocks to a tub with the same salinity, etc etc - lighting as well. Leave your coral fallow for 6 weeks. Treat your fish with hyposalinity in the display. that would be my consideration.

I have pretty bad pics of my tang because it's just so active. All the fish are eating really well, just I kmow there's a chance parasites will only increase in number as the cycle goes on.
Of course this happens after I just ́ut an order for a good looking lid from top lids hahaha.
I've read that hypo also has a high failure rate because it has to always stay at 1.009. Higher and it faits, lower and the fish die...

Considering keeping corals seems to be the only thing I can do I would take the fish out and put them in a rubbermaid container and leave corals with proposer light, flow and CUC.

I can’t see definitive ich in the tang. It could well be ich, but tangs also develop mucus plugs. Those look like ich, just a bit larger. They can be caused by general stress, but can also be caused by ich (ugh). Do any other fish have spots?

Hypo works fine, but you need an accurate means to measure the specific gravity. I use two devices and ensure they agree.

No labored breathing, no weird behavior or swimming against powerhead. I'm confident it's not velvet. And no scratching. There's less spots today, with a few remaining on its fins
All fish are active and eating like pigs. Feeding LRS, mysis and nori daily. Sometimes will soak the food in garlic and food energiser (fauna marin)
I have an UV running hopefully it'll help a little.
Tang is the biggest fish in the tank and also the boss haha.

The UV might help, but won’t stop a moderate infection. There are other things you can do though, to try and manage an ich infection:

Just be aware that this method requires extra work (daily siphoning) and a large Uv unit….and still can fail.
