Hello. I just tested my water. Came home and counted 5 fireworms. Got stung by one before. How do I remove them? Should I Remove them?
@BristleWormHater I need your help again
I pull those nasty MFs with tweezers when I see them. They creep me out

Fire worms are uncommon...

are you sure it's not a bristle worm? Those guys are good to have and even if you pulled all 5, you have tons more you can't see if you have 5.
Bristle Worm
One of them is white but the rest are black

How? They are so skinny... any they are annoying.
I have tongs that I used to use to feed my eels before I went to hand feeding them. I just wait for them to come out enough and come at them from the top and clamp and pull

If you counted 5 then you probably have 20, enough to occupy the rest of your counting digits.

I have never had this problem but I hope you get them under control.

What help do they provide?
Also, neat profile pic. Is that a hybrid foxface?

They eat debris and moving around among the rock like little toothbrushes :p

Eat: decaying matter, fish food, fish poop... all on the menu.

Honestly depending on the species because I have seen other people whose bristle worms go out of control and take over a tank. But in my experience (at least the ones I have) I rarely saw them and if I do they stay small. I think they actually help by eating the extra food I put into the tank.
