So this is my first time using rodi, I bought a 4stage marine depot kit and have gotten it installed and running. My main concern is how long does it take the first time to get rodi water to come out right now it's just producing waste water and nothing is coming out of the rodi water end.

Is this normal for it to take like so far 25 mins of nothing coming out or did I mess something up.

Also how long do you guys think it will take to produce 30gallons

Unless your incoming water pressure is very low and/or you have air trapped in the system, it should produce water right away.

Take a picture and let us see it.

Does the other chambers have water in them? If not, you may need to "burp" them by unscrewing them a little until they fill with water.

Yeah so what was coming out of the rodi water section but it was like dripping I'm guessing I don't have enough pressure

A trickle is good. A "drip" isn't. Low incoming water temps can slow the rate coming out significantly.

Having a pressure gauge would be nice to have. With that unit you can't see what the incoming water pressure is. It's possible that the distance to the unit is causing a pressure drop as well.

Look into getting a gauge for the unit. If possible, move the unit closer to your source.

Air trapped in the unit could also be causing this. "Burp" each housing until there's no air in each.

Is there a flow restrictive on that model. You might check to be sure it’s in the closed position not flow. Which sounds backwards but “flow” flushes the membrane when you are done making rodi.

Are you on city or well water? First would be to establish pressure. Then if it’s terrible like mine is with well water, you may need to consider a booster pump.

I have city water... I think it's just cause it running though a 25 hose to get it there.

How do you have your lines run? Is the last carbon stage running into the membrane? Is your flush/restrictor valve closed? Do you have an auto shutoff? Is it run properly. A picture of the back side to see the connections to the membrane would be helpful.

I have mine running through a 50ft hose, the length is not an issue if you are getting 60+PSI out of your faucet. You should go down to your local home depot or lowes and see if they have an RO membrane housing with a pressure gauge. If you're not seeing at least 40PSI at the membrane then you will have to buy a booster pump to get your system working properly.
