Just odd/off

I have noticed my tank looks a little cloudy the past few days. Three days ago, I added a Coral Beauty. Even though I have not seen it nipping, but one of my torches is bailing and one of my toadstools is closed (not sure if that is a normal molt right now). One of my clams is doing great, the other hasn't opened in a few days, but it is still alive.

The only thing different I have done is I haven't vacuumed the sand since the last two water changes. My Apex decided to take a dump last week, but I have been manually testing. Pretty much getting the same results. Mag-1320/alk-8.7/calc-420/ph 8.14

What do you all do if you feel something is off in your tank, but cannot pinpoint exactly what you're feeling or thinking it is? What if your parameters are still in check, then what do you do?

Water change is a good place to start, maybe a bit of microbacter. Water change has always done me right if any cloudiness rears its ugly head. Also swap out old carbon/add some carbon might help. Any soft corals that might be expelling toxins?

Yeah I second angry softy. When my 18+" toadstool is unhappy the whole tank ends up looking grumpy

And my dwarf angel occasionally gives it a taste. It was more bothered by it at first. Now that it seems to understand it's not being eaten it doesn't freak out as much

Thanks all. It's funny the little things you forget about. I do need to change my carbon and a few other things I either forgot about or need to do. Will give it a good cleaning and water change tonight.

Definitely put new carbon in and increase frequency and amount of water changes .
