So, I added kelkwasher to my ATO while it was operational and it dumped a white cloud of disaster into my tank. Everything is covered in white dust and has been challenging to Remove from the LR and glass. My brown tang is grazing all over the white covered algae and I’m worried about the few softies and LPS. Am I the only idiot that has done this? Will all the white covered areas subside?

Check your ph. Kalk raise ph really quickly. If you can, siphon as much out as you can and do a water change. If there is lots of white powder in there I would try to get it out. It doesnt take much kalk to maintain parameters. I think I have like 2 teaspoons to 5 gallons to maintain my coral qt which is 70% sps.
And the saturation point isn’t much either.
Your ph, alk and calcium can raise significantly. Depending on what coral you have this can be very bad.

i don’t think that powder will dissolve fully either. Usually at the bottom of my ato there is some residual powder.

Tank specs gallon wise and an estimate of how much kalk powder went in would help.
