Hey everyone, first time posting on R2R. I have a Kenya tree that recently shed its slime coating. It was all closed up for about 2 weeks before shedding. It’s about a week later and it hasn’t really opened back up much. At its peak it was about 4 inches tall now it stands about a half inch. Any help appreciated

parameters: temp 77.5
Salinity 1.026
Nitrate around 7-10
Phosphate salifert tests can’t pick up any.
Calf. 440
Alk sits between 8-8.4
Magnesium 1440.
Kessil a160we at 40% at peak of day. (9inches off water)
10g tank with a citron goby, and only coral is a green leather, some gsp and clove polyps.
help.

I will be the first to say, I love soft corals so I am here to assist. Honestly softies can be finicky randomly, but if and when given time they will bounce back. On top of it Kenyas are extremely resilient. Lets see a shot of the whole tank!

Soft corals can shed at times their mucus layer over their polyps and can in a way seem "bothered" but with good flow and time things will cheer up. Can see my softie dominant tank in my build thread on my badge

Could be low phosphate level. Or something could be picking at it. How long was it thriving in your tank before it closed up? 2 weeks seems like a long time be be closed.

It was doing well for about 3 months. Just before it closed up for the initial 2 weeks I did have an alk swing which led to a small cyano outbreak and the death of an alveapora and Ricardian. All other leathers and gsp are doing well though.
