I just wanted to hear about some experiences w the kessil ap9x because I don't think it is used that much. (Might be wrong I'm not sure)

I've had a 9/10 experience with it. My corals seem to love it but at first I didn't have a par meter so I put it at 70% which was a big mistake because the par was sky high. Fortunately none of my corals diedI don't own but have seen that others love it.
We might be biased, but we're pretty happy with it

Thanks for posting. I'm also looking at a pair of these for my IM 100 EXT.I just wanted to hear about some experiences w the kessil ap9x because I don't think it is used that much. (Might be wrong I'm not sure)
I'm thinking of getting the same light for the IM30L. Is there light overspill, and if there is, how bad is it?Just got some PAR readings today…
AP9X on IM30L 10” from water surface at 65% intensity…
If you’re not familiar with the IM30L, it is about 13” high…
Top center 300-315
Bottom center 220-245
Bottom left 75-100
Bottom right 75-100
Really happy with the light and the results that I got today.
It looks great. Not much light spill the way I have it adjusted. It’s able to be moved up or down plus front and back. Highly recommended.I'm thinking of getting the same light for the IM30L. Is there light overspill, and if there is, how bad is it?

how big is your tank?I am very happy with it, so is my mixed tank. Very powerful light, almost too powerful. I run at 45% , 10” from top of water. A par meter is a must have with this light.
I have the same tank and same light so interested in sharing PAR results with you after I get a meter and see how similar they are (both at 10" from the top of the water).I am very happy with it, so is my mixed tank. I wanted to use either 2 A360x or 2 A500X on my Red Sea 350. I think 2 A500X would be overkill. But now im thinking of trying 1AP9X now.We might be biased, but we're pretty happy with it

Interested in knowing what your readings where at those settingsMy best PAR measurements came at 50% intensity for mixed reef 12" off the surface. This is a powerful light.
