Hey all,
This is my 60 cube that is being lit by one 360we. I love the light but thinking about adding a second to eliminate some shading specifically around the right side of the tank. The easiest would be to get another 360 but.... I have a 160we that I thought about trying.

I would put it on the right side, I have planned to put most of the sticks on the highest peak so closest to the light. My concern would be toward the bottom of this 24" tank. More then likely that side would have zoas, mushrooms and maybe acans. Do you think a 160 would give enough light on the bottom?

I figured I would leave my 360we set at a max of 50% intensity and 60% color and make the 160 run at 80% intensity and 60% color. I will also be building a canopy to house them both so you notice the different sizes in the lights. Any opinions here?

I had the kessil 360w and the 160 tuna blue on my JbJ 30 gal. For the shadowing and was happy with it. I recently removed the 160 as I'm simplifying my tank with less corals. :) But it did the job.

I've got a 90 gallon tank and I'm using only 2 of the 360w's and I get great reach with them. I ran mine like you have your tank set up for awhile, but recently turned the color up just a bit and it's been awesome. I've probably got my intensity at 75% and my color at 45% maybe 50%

You can always tell if your lights aren't reaching the bottom enough if you zoas start to "reach" for the light or your acans start to lose color and go pale almost white sometimes. I took my hood off last weekend and moved my lights up a couple inches and I've noticed the reaching by a few zoa colonies so I turned mine up some.
