What does the dongle do?

Does it eliminate cords?

No spectral controller needed. Everything is controlled through an app. You connect the dongle to one light, then you daisy chain up to 30 or 36 lights and have individual control over them through the app. Essentially it's a Wi-Fi access point spectral controller, but you only need one dongle.
