Hello,

I currently run Kessil 360s with T5s. I love the shimmer from the Kessils and it looks great under daytime lighting. I see other photos and videos of Orpheks and Radions under dark lights and the colors seem to pop more. I do understand the filter makes a difference.

My question is, has anyone had experience with running Kessils and Orpheks/Radions. If so, do you see a noticeable differnce in coral growth or coral pop to the eyes over the Kessils that would make me want to switch?

Thanks, Mike

Wow the photos look awesome. Did they add more pop compared to the Kessils only?
Thanks! Sorta, as they are actinic only. I got them to help with intensity distribution, as the coral were getting shaded.

Would I just replace my T5s with the Quantas?
How many T5’s? I’d just two, then yes. I use two meso blues and two 360x’s on an IM 50 lagoon and the entire tank is covered. I’m only running the Kessil’s around 50% or so and I’m hitting around 200 micro moles on the sand except the very corners, which get slightly less. And my quanta’s are the pro version that some have dimming and 15% less power. The spectrum of the meso blue is a combination of ATI blue+ and vho actinic. The helix version has dimming, 15% more power and even more diodes per lens (4).

I just purchased 2 Quanta Helix mesa blues. Thanks for the suggestions.
Nice! Luca @Lousybreed is awesome! If you ever want to go all bars, he has mounting options and great spectrum combos. I personally think these are the best bars out there for the money and spectrum. I think he's working on a way to control them that doesn't lock you into getting a big name controller.

I look forward to setting them up.
