So I recently set up a 5gallon Fluval Spec V. I ran it for 4 weeks with live rock, live sand and nutri seawater. The other day I purchased 2 emerald crabs, 1 blood shrimp, 4 nassarius/cerite snails and 4 hermits. And just the other day, my LFS got a lettuce nudibranch in that they weren't supposed to get and they were going to flush him because they said "he was going to die anyway" so I took him home and hopefully I think I found him a home in a tank with some bryopsis? So he should be gone in the next few days, long story short, he's here temporarily.
Today when I woke up, 1 emerald crab and the blood shrimp were dead. The shell of the emerald crab was cracked open and the others were eating out of it and the shrimp was just shell. Can't test water parameters until later on, but since my other emerald and hermits and snails are all fine and so was the lettuce nudibranch. What do you think caused it? Could it have been the other emerald? I'm thinking if it was water quality the lettuce slug would be the first to go? Thanks for the help
