I wanted to share this 225 mixed reef. It has been running now 2 years and is beginning to settle in nicely.

2x eco tech mp40s
2x maxspect gyre
2x COR-20 return pump
Filtration:
Red Sea Roller Mat
Reef Octo Skimmer
UV light
Tech:
Neptune Apex
Dosing via doser:
Alk, Calcium, Manganese
Fish:
Tomini tang, purple tang, gem tang, bristle tooth tang, 2 green chromis, 3 blue reef chromis, 5 chalk bass, lawnmower blenny, 5 random damsels, cleaner wrasse, Melanie’s wrasse, marble wrasse, and a pair of lightning maroon clowns
This tank has been quite a journey. The biggest hurdle I have had to overcome is creating new spaces in the tank for various corals based on their needs in real time. Six months back I began using calcium reactor media, glue, and activator to build structures I could add onto my existing rock work (same process as creating negative reef aquascapes). Once I got used to the technique, it allowed me to add new branches and platforms for my growing Sps collection. I also created a tiered rock display for a group of RFAs. Overall I am happy with the technique and will continue to use it with future builds. The branches are strong enough to hold the Sps as it grows and fragile enough to be snapped off with some pressure allowing me to move Sps colonies around the tank as they grow. There are only a few spots left that I am looking to fill before I sit back and watch things grow in for a while.
This post will be pic heavy. I want to use it as a place to document the growth of the corals as it is harder to notice when looking at them everyday.
