Wow, that's awesome. Karen actually sent me a female last year and she actually spawned without a male. The eggs never hatched but it was cool seeing them nonetheless. Do the older babies have full bars?

Still have a bunch of fry from this hatch! Pretty sure metamorphosis is about to start. This is when I start to loose a lot of them.

Metamorphosis has started. There was also a lot of loss this morning. I have read that for some clownfish types, there is a large loss during metamorphosis, especially with sebae type clownfish. I would say Latz clownfish fit into this category.

I think metamorphosis starts quicker for the fry that eat the most. There I s always a variety of sizes 12 days into it. fry get real fat & either transform or perish within 24 hours. The dead look fat.

Numbers continue to drop. Cleaned the tank yesterday & again this morning to get all the dead ones out. On a positive note, my lazt are spawning this morning.

Thought I would give an update. I still have 17 alive from the hatch I started this post with. The hatch after I have 7. There have also been 2 more hatches and the breeding pair spawned Saturday.

this last hatch seems delayed. it should have started last Monday. I have had a couple hatch each day but most happened last night. the parents are cleaning a rock getting ready to spawn again.
