I've had a bunch and never had an aggressive one. Your clown won't have anything to do with any pistol. A tiger pistol will be a little bolder about getting out of it's burrow so that's my go to pistol. Curious what your concern is?

My concern is pairing with a ywg and my clownfish. I’m scared that my clown might get knocked or killed from a pistol. Will I be safe to add one? I plan on getting a candy cane

As I said, the clown and the pistol will have nothing to do with each other. So yes it's safe.
