Recently purchased an established tank and reset it back up in my home. There were a few pieces of live rock with some corals on them I set up a small quarantine tank(mini hospital) for the few rocks with corals on it. I have noticed that the"leather" has developed small polyps, is this normal? Can anyone explain to me what this is, please. Any help would be great. I am fairly new to this hobby and am enjoying learning more.My large tank has several corals including Kenya trees, toad stool polyps and and zoas. Love the great coloration.

Well I ended up paying the same picture twice. And I posted it upside down. Hope you get the idea. I look forward to hear from everyone. Thanks again

I was adding to my system, placing it together with a larger tank I purchased. The person I purchased the new (established) system from took me 2weeks to transfer to. The person I got the tank from had not cleaned the tank for many months, there was a large bristle worm population as well as different issues. Long story short, I had to build a new stand, clean the tank, I plumbed through a wall and the changed over to the new tank. Went from a 60 gallon to 120 gallons. His corals did not look happy and I did not want them to contaminate my corals. He told me when we went to get the tank(it was too good a deal to pass up) that he wasn't sure what was happening but his corals were getting smaller and such. There had been an anemone in the system but took it to a local store they told me it was ill. So therefore I have kept the few corals he had quarantined to see if they would come back. So far they appear to be happy.

Updated picture of coral. It seems to like the parameters in the tank. I am concerned about what it will act like when I move it to the big tank.
