Led channels

Ok so I built my first diy led over 3 years ago (maybe 4). With the advances in leds and the addition of mint, I stockpiled some new leds for replacement.

Currently I have a cluster array on my 29g biocube that contains the following

Channel 1- 4 x ww, 4 x nw, 2 x limes
Channel 2- 10 x rb
channel 3- 2 x cyan
channel 4- 2x blue
channel 5- 2x red
channel 6- 2x 410nm , 2x 415nm , 2x 425nm

I really wanna add mint
I know I can eliminate the reds but something in me really doesnt want to.
So for the first question how could I redo the channels to give mint it's own channel or can I add it to whites.

The second question is should I swap leds out
in side stock I have royal blues, mints, limes, blue, cool white, and more cyan. If any of these would be a better fit for my cluster let me know.

Pull the two limes

The we will cover red.

Replace the red with mint.

I wouldn’t overthink this. I don’t think you or your corals will notice the difference between lime and mint. A lot of the non-blue spectrums are covered by your whites.

Limes and mint use the same phosphor, just mint leaks out some of the underlying violet.

So from my understanding is mint will be more visually appealing than the lime right? and with the mint lime is not necessary. Also the cyan and blue together will be fine, and with the reds covered I can remove them (will this effect anything with a red spectrum in the tank or do the neutral and warms keep that from happening?).

I guess my only other question is since my blue and white ration is off would I be ok swapping 2 nw for 2 Cw like the high end box makers use?

I don't use cw I would say the way you stated above is a good spread. Leave the CW alone. Never understood why these manufacturers insist on using them

Yes, correct on the Lime/Mint combo. I run Cyan with Blue or RB just fine, and use either a white or PC Amber led to hit high reds. I would also stay with a daylight or neutral white over a cool white.

hey just an update for everyone... I replaced the lines with mints and put them on there own channel by tying the cyan and blue together. I did leave the red for the time being simply because I didnt need to remove it at this time and I didnt have anything to fill its spot. But thank you all for the advice with the mints on there own dedicated channel I really got to see what they add. I've noticed running them 15-20% offers little but when I kicked them up to 65 (something I couldnt do before because I never put my whites up that high), it really gets rid of the purple color from the royal blues and makes my tank look like a 18k halide during midday. I absolutely love it and you guys helped immensely
